A Breakthrough in Heavy Mine Roof Support Transport

A Breakthrough in Heavy Mine Roof Support Transport
27. 2. 2025

In December 2024 and January of this year, we carried out a demanding transport operation of powered roof supports in Polish coal mines. Our electric locomotive DLZA90F proved itself as a reliable solution, even in conditions, that until recently, were dominated explusively by more powerful diesel mining machines!

Thanks to rapid charging during shift changes and precise transport planning, we managed to:

  • Transport 136 sections (13 t + 3.1 t lifting accessories) in 18 days – mine relocation 12/2024
  • Transport 169 sections (14.7 t + 3.1 t lifting accessories) in 20 days – mine relocation 01/2025

This was achieved with:

  • No noise, vibrations, or emissions
  • Fast charging during shift change intervals
  • Stable performance even at higher temperatures of 23–28 °C
  • Continuous and safe transport in challenging terrain
  • Time and cost savings due to reduced downtime

The result? Highly efficient work operation and a satisfied mine with its the locomotive’s performance. More technical details are available in our mine relocation 01/2025 video:
